Pearly.
Nice one, Was going to try one myself, but going on safarri to the west coast lasted longer than i thought.
As i cant grow them outside an ideal project for winter.

Understood. No, this would not be the greatest project for someone who can't keep them growing at their optimal best throughout the entire year although it certainly is possible with such a hardy species as retusa.

Next time you go on a lengthy vacation like the last one simply place it on your computer and when you get back you can post pictures of "root over hard drive"! At least that way it will have some protection aside from what you have been going through the last year with computers!

No worries - one of the best ways to get tons of aerial roots on a ficus is also one of the best things to do with one if you're going to be gone for a while. Enclose it in a clear plastic bag - puts the humidity at around 100%, doesn't need watering and the aerial roots start popping out everywhere.
