Paul the pic is good, the tree needs work. First off the planted position!. It looks like it is falling out of the pot needs to go the right.
Then the branches need wiring down.
When your weather warms up !!!. It needs defoliating to increase ramification and reduce leaf size.
Sorry I know you did not ask, but I thought it might help in its development. Yours in Bonsai Pup

Thank you Pup for your advice on the ficus, and how to improve its ramification.
Thing is that this tree was in a terrible state when i had it, myself i would not have bought it, but it was a gift that i have had to nurse back to health.
I just used this pot as a temporary measure, but i am beginning to like it, as i think it suits the Ficus, but you are right in saying it has to be more central, which it will be in the next few weeks.
It looks healthy enough now to start leaf reduction through pinching out the large ones.
Mt main concern was my photography as i have had some trouble with focusing, which has been sorted out now and i am starting to get to grips with the set up, and composition of display.

I a few month time when the foliage has filled the void, i will retake the shot and post again.

Best regards BD Paul
