Thanks Phil for your kind words.
This particular image is far from my best, i am still coming to terms with my newish camera, and taking this shot i left the setting on VIVID instead of NATURAL making the colors look unreal. I plan to retake this shot over the weekend when the blooms have opened up, and will repost if you interested. Best regards Paul

Black Crushed Velvet, but i was not happy with the finish as the slightest bit of light would show up, and i had to darken the BG with image manipulation. So what i did was to reverse the Velvet using the back of the material, and it has made a tremendous difference with no need for alteration with image software. Best regards BD Paul

Yes Glider, its natural light with a small reflector just to throw some light on the darkened side.
I have tried 12 volt artificial light with a limited amount of success, but i found that the light was not strong enough, so i had two cheap desk lamps with flexible goose necks, and using pearl finish incandescent 40 watt bulbs, and a dimmer switch to control the amount of light available. I will experiment with this light and see how it turns out. Best regards BD Paul
