Bonchi's
Hi All,
Nice and interesting forum you guys have. I hope I posted this in the right section.. I Have been growing some "bonchi's" myself. A bonchi is actually created from a Chilli Plant. I have grown these plants in 2009 and turned them into Bonchi's last November. Off course I have used some artificial lights like CFL's to grow them indoors. The nice thing is that bear fruit like they normal do only on a tiny plant. They still have a lot of cutting and growing to do, but I think they will look great in a few months. Tips are always appreciated.. Hi,
nice one, Lee. I especially like the nebari in the first pic. Now, it's quite difficult to give good tips on a mere photograph, but here's some ideas that spring to mind right now: 1. Looking at those nebari, I think that the nicest front might show itself by turning the tree about 20-30° anti-clockwise. 2. As there is still some extra trunk selection possible (and even recommendable), I'd possibly lose the frontal eye-poking trunk (or at least I'd shorten it considerably); after turning that trunks' placement might look better as it is right now, but I doubt it. 3. Furthermore (if it were mine), I'd also try to break the allignment of at least the three trunks on the right, maybe by bringing up a bit the middle one with wiring or "sticking" techniques. 4. Right now, I'd start cutting back to one/two leaves in order to promote further backbudding and ramification, so in time You could lower the overall trunks' heights even more. Just a few ideas,
