Hi this is my air layering of a Flamenco Willow. I did this about 6weeks ago. As you can see i put a pot of soil around the layer instead of moss as it doesnt disturb the roots when you cut it off and pot it up as it is already potted.
Ok i know willows root easily but i am still very happy with the results as it is my first ait layer. Any comments welcome, cheers Phil G. |

Nice job. I am surprised you got that much root growth in 6 weeks in your cooler climate. I haven't had much luck with air layers. I've got 4 going right now on different trees, so fingers crossed I get that much root growing. Thanks for sharing.
