Maime landscape

This is my Maime landscape. The trees are Rowan (Sorbus) and were collected from my garden.
The one on the lava rock is about 5 yrs old and about 6 inches high. It started out life as a year old seedling that i planted on top of the lava and grew as a root over rock for a few years and the other 2 are about 3 yrs old and about 5 and 4 inches in height. They were grown in pots also from seedlings from my garden and added at the start of spring.

This is the first year of my mini landscape and i have another 2 trees that im going to add next year to fill it out a bit, what do you guys and galls think?? critisism welcome!!! cheers Phil G.

The think the roots over the rock are great, nicely and attractively attached to the rock. This should make a nice grouping. However, if it were mine, I'd re-arrange the tree on the far right, bringing it closer to the front of the pot and more to the center. It seems too close to the edge and flowing in the opposite direction of the other two trees.

Hi Barry, thanks for the input....i didnt even notice the tree on the right was facing the wrong way untill i took the photo!!!! silly sod eh ha ha!!!!
I originally had the pot the other way round so the rock was at the back but i thought it looked better from this side, thats how i probably didnt notice that the tree was the wrong way round... oh well nevermind!
Ill leave it for this year and will repot it the right way next year when i add my other 2 trees. cheers Phil G

Thumbs up

Hi Phil,

Good job! That is a cute landscape. Are you eventually going to try a large landscape, or do you like having the smaller pots?

Barry has a good idea for you, don't forget when you do the repot.
