I like your pot, it has more depth to it, it will let the roots grow and will save you doing a re pot every year and upset your tree. I would just wait until the roots grow out of the drain hole, then you could purchase a larger one or simply chop the roots and back into the same pot. Most of that style of pot are used for cascade trees, but it suits your one, this is only my uptake on it. Cheers.
