Crepe Myrtle

Here is a project that I've been working on for a few years. I got it three years ago as a triple-trunked, chopped off stump. Some work had been done to it to create some taper, but that was about it. I've trimmed off some major branches, and worked with the new sprouts to create the branch structure that you see now. This was after its first hard prune of the year on May 23 - I just pruned it again last night (though I didn't take a photo) because it had sprouted like mad all over and had sprouts with 6 or more leaves on them. I've got a solution to the inverse taper on the right hand side, there is a rock that I've just found that will fit in there nicely and match the trunk well, and there are two roots there that I will grow over the rock to help it meld into the overall tree.

Looking nice, Centaura. Despite its size, it works as a bunjin.

Very nice--that tree has a lot of potential.
