wooly bush
G, day folks
This is a tree I was given early this year by a friend who is moving to South Australia. He did not think he could keep it going so I was a very lucky boy. I have done some work the main being a repot also some minor reshaping. It measures 21.5mms long by 10mms high (8-1/2 in by 4in ). It is commonly called an Albany wooly bush when you read the name you will understand why. Adenanthos cunninghamii.

Hmmm.... I really like the trunk base, the pot and the general feel of the composition. You were very lucky to get it. One of my best trees is a tree that I got because someone wanted someone who could take care of it properly.
The only thing that's catching me is the straightness of the trunk line once it starts the cascade. I would like to see more movement there, maybe a bend downwards at the point where the apex branch goes up. Its hard to say - the foliage has been trimmed into a nice shape, and I can't picture what else I'd like the trunk to be doing, but the straightness doesn't feel right. Other than that vague critique, its a very nice tree and a good friend who would give it to you for care! -Centaura |

I tried to answer as a quote but the little board kept telling me to add
1 more character after 6 I gave up and came here. Well Centaura what I was saying is the trunk is not as straight as it appears in the photo. I will try to get a better one from overhead and front. I do feel honoured that he felt I was the one to leave it with. If ever he returns to this State he will be offered it back. As it is a Western Australian native, I will certainly look after it. Best for the New Year Pup

Ah - I see the movement. Better than the impression from the first photo - where it seems to be almost perfectly straight once it goes over the pot edge.
