Lucky dog I've been loking for some red Chojubai stock myself lately (which Is obvious). I contacted Brent Walston earlier this week since he propagates Chojubai but he seems to be all out at the moment. Oh well I'll eventually find some

Today was another nice day, too bad I was stuck inside working the majority of it. Kind of surprising but theres no real bonsai nursery in the Chicago land area. Come to think of it there is one or two nurseries but they are mainly normal nurseries that sell 'Bonsai'.

Bonsai NW in Seattle has one and two year old starts. They ship also.

my chojubai are just beginning to respond to spring with a few flowers and some leaves beginning to show. This white is in training and the use of the pot is because i needed the depth to insure moisture only

Nice, I just received three red Chojubai the other day. they seem to already be coming out of dormancy so it looks like I'm going to have to bring them in and put them under the florescent lights until spring comes around. i'm planning on planting two of them in ground once it gets a little nicer outside.

good for you Mike, maybe 3 years old? I found a similar sized white today along with the smallest leafed sasanqua camellia, I have ever seen. also a white bloomer.

Hi Mike. Great finds, where'd you find them? I didn't see any at Kimura or Bonsai NW. PM me if you'd like.
Thanks Mike!

you could ask for vickie at House of bonsai in the Lakewood area of calif......
she has some 3 year old red.......The white i picked up with the camillia was from Bonsai NW so they had half a dozen left, two year olds....The owner, John is in china gathering new sources for pots. If your looking at his website, they're not listed. You can call his motjer Sharon and make the purchase. They'll ship when he gets home next week
