Mini elm cascade

Hi this is my mini cascades humble beginnings. it was taken as a root cutting and left to grow. As you can see it grew naturally towards the cascade style. Cheers Phil G

Hey Phil, Nice Elm, is it a dwarf variety or just a young one?

One of the members of my society has a couple of dwarf elms, that no kidding, have leaves which never get bigger than 3 mm in length, and need to be wired with fuse wire as they are so small! I dont think I have the patience for that, plus, I find that when I concentrate on something so small, my hands shake all over the show!

Cheers

Hi Matt, how are you? Nah its just a young one. It started life as one of them horrible roots that sort of wrap round the bottom of elms and it grew a shoot from it so i cut the root off and planted it and this is what grew!!! quite like it eh the first picture is exactly what grew from it so i thought it looked good as a cascade. cheers Phil G

Hey Phil, I'm very well thanks, keeping busy, yourself?

It's amazing what bits of plants you can cut of and get to grow, I think thats one of the things that keeps me going in this industry, if I cut this leaf off this plant and stick it in soil it will produce a new plant, brilliant!

Cheers
