Air layering
G,day Paul there are some very good article's in early edition's of Bonsai today if you have access to them. I have used both method's. With success.
There is a airlayering pot on the market called a rooter pot. Craig coussen's introduced it to us when he was here 4 year's ago. It is clear plastic and is made to open up so it goes round the branch or trunk. The lid has a set of grooves to channel the water. I have used Clay with great success. If I can find it in one of BT there is an article which show's a Japanese gentelman doing a Cryptomia of some very large girth.

Air layering
Thanks Pup for the information on this item, i will do some research on this, and try and find out where i can purchase them in the UK.
Over a given period of time i will try both methods, and see which one suit's me the best. going to take some materials to the in-laws soon, and try a winter start to one of them. Will let everyone know how it went. Best regards BD paul
