History should tell you to make it and prep it for shipment to New Hampshire...

Hi,
Rather than contemplating to quit smoking, I better keep the habit and ask You for the 2nd pot; great ashtray No, in all fairness: You made GREAT pots here, full credits to You as well as to the one that taught You: You both seem to have done an excellent job. I can hardly believe that this is really Your first attempt at this. Quote:
dremel fitted with a soft stone bit. At least You could smooth the edges with that: Apply moderate operating speed and low hand pressure and regularly use water to cool in between grindings. And again, congratulations with these excellent first results. If You're thinking of doing this on a more regular base, You should really be thinking of creating Your own monogram stamp. And I mean that; You never cease to amaze us, here.

(((Michel))) thank you very much for your kind words. I hadn't even thought of the dremel... I might try that. Will have to see though whether I can identify what you call the "soft stone" for that. May have to wait for the next pot to do that though as I wanted to pot a tree in that one this weekend...
P.S.: I did a bit of pottery some years ago but I must admit I didn't like what I made and with the last course I never saw how things turned out as I moved house... Last edited by Ravenna; 03-29-2008 at 08:25 PM.. |
