LOL!! WE are not that old.Lets just say those words have popped up in our lives at some point in time. LOL!! I remember Kramer built guitars and basses with aluminum necks. I think people that are into woodworking are artists too. So many "sick" works out there.Purple heart, bloodwood might be cool too to use.

Nice wood work. I like to make my stands and tables.
Maybe this will help you. I distinguish one from the other by one detail: If it has legs is a table. No legs, then is a stand. |

Thanks Paul, the first table is zebra wood and it's a tad bit ornate for most displays. It works very well with flowering trees that seem to better be able to compete. I just love my chojobai flowering quince (red) on it.
The root stand is much darker and seems to highlight nicely rather than compete with the bonsai itself. The stand under the Barton pot was an effort to look like a cut round, without the bark eventually drying and falling off. The bark is actually 5 pieces carefully joined to fit around the stand. To me, stands and tables are like pots, no matter how many you have you never have quite the right one, when you need it! LOL One table i have that I like to use to help teach with is a letter writing stand from where our display tables originated from. so much to learn, so little time ![]() |
