Yah do what yah got to do - my shelves are hysterical, I have everything under the sun being used to prop things up closer to lights. A large number of old terracotta pots - my roommate came back from a garage sale with a big bag of them he got for $1 for me. I also use my recycling - lots of glass jars and other containers. My roommate is always laughing at what leaves the recycle bin and ends up in the basement. I use old egg cartons for carrying mames to shows. Its all fun,

I know what you mean about always wanting one more. I have close to 75 trees I'm working on indoors. Most of my trees are tropical and it's always a chore to keep the trees as happy a possible even where I live.

Great setup though. Looks like it's working for you so far. Keep it up.

I wish I had your restraint...and so does my wife.

I know what you mean. Every year when the show season starts, I keep telling myself that I'm only going to buy tools, pots or other supplies, and that I'm not allowed to buy any new trees. That resolve lasts about one hour into vendor unloading of my first show. Or when the chance for some yamadori comes my way - that's even harder to resist. But, I do have the advantage of owning my own house - I have a roommate, but he knows that his room is forfeit if the bonsai ever need more space.

Well, i have had to bit the bullet so to speak.
Every cutting i took from Ficus was a prisoner, into a pot it went.
Things got out of control, every member of my family has them, also i have sent quite a few of them once they were established with roots down south.
I simply ran out of room for them.
Since then i have thinned out my collection, this has improved my health as well as the few Ficus i have left. NO !! more cuttings. Cheers.

Yeah the cutting issue is a real problem for me too. I just can't stand to throw any of them away. I guess it's my o.c.d. getting the best of me.
