Ah…I seriously doubt that! More than likely you look like the odd man for having one as more people are becoming more cognizant of the fact that it is indeed self mutilation. I’ve been around for some years and I find that most people find them repugnant. Most people (not all) do so for recognition and low self esteem.

Better check up as to what is what with pierced ears! Of course than again you’re still young and may not know the protocol. Left ear…straight. Right ear….gay. For what it may be worth mine happens to be left as one of my ex-girlfriends did it for me about 37 years ago. So much for my sexual preference.

One simple question…….WHY?
Don't you like yourself the way you are?

OK…let’s try one more time to get back on thread here. My apologies for going off on such a tangent here as I, if anyone, should know better!

I was looking through the closet today to see if I had any spare CF’s for my trees and came across a mogul socket for a very large high lumen output CF that I once had. That was one hell of a CF as for light output with a full balanced spectrum for overall plant growth. It was rated at 200 watts with 12,000 lumen output! It also came with a hefty price tag of about $80.00 as I remember. It had a large base and therefore the need for an adapter called a “mogul socket adapter”.

As I remember they are very fragile. The first one I ordered came in pieces and promptly sent back. The second one that was sent was also broke during shipping! I believe that due to their length which is 14’’ to 15”, depending upon the wattage, that when hanging vertically there seems to be a lot of stress on them. It did a great job but I was sorely disappointed in its short life span which was only about three months! I don’t believe it burned out but simply acquired a small stress fracture. If it were not for the high cost I would try them again but it just doesn’t seem worth it. I believe that Prowler has, or had, the same type of CF. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with these CF’s?

Oh he he sorry getting off thread, I get carried away when I talk about body mod.

I have had much experience with high output compact florescent.. You can get a 65Watt that will put out 4500+ lumins for around $7 dollars US around here. I find it cheaper to just use 4 of them in my grow box. I switch out 1 every 3 months in a cycle replacing each one in turn. I have been growing for 3 years exclusively on this lighting arrangement and my trees all ficus, Scheff, and Jade do very well with 0 sunlight.

Well as far as why for my tats.. I feel the same way about tats as I do about my trees. Cant have to many. I love them, the way it feels to get one, how it looks on my skin.. Not really for recognition though because I cover them 80% of the time.. I am the assistant quarter master for the local school district so I hardly ever show more than 1 or two in my home town.

Yeah I know it used to be ok to have your left ear pierced and not the right I am 31. he he my niece told me 31 was OOLLLDDD the other day..

Cool Light bulbs

Yes, i do use those bulbs, two of them.
They are in a special light fitment and sit in the horizontal position, the only prob is, after a long time use the bulbs droop? a bit.
I simply simply slacken off the bottom screw put in a packer,
and i am back to normal., maybe due to a large extractor fan built into the reflector to extract heat they halve lasted for a long time.
Sorry to say one of them blew just the other day, i will be cheaper to purchase a whole new system !!!!
Due to a accident in the house i have a ruptured kidney and can hardly walk so a bulb is the last thing i need to worry about.
While doing a google i found a bulb that stops upward growth, but makes for a bushier growth, gonna try this. Cheers.
