Nandina Domestica
Hi
If I Chop a half inch trunk of a Nandina (Sacred Bamboo) with no low branches to Create a Shohin will the Nandina throw out new shoots and what is the best time to do this Many thanks Baz Leicestershire England Zone8 |

I don't have Nandina myself, but I've seen them with some branching. I assume they respond to a chop by throwing new shoots. For what it's worth, I'd do it if it were mine.
I'd wait until spring to do it, tho.
