Buffalo Bonsai Society Show 2010

hi all. i thought i'd share some pics of a local bonsai show. the club that sponsored it is the Buffalo Bonsai Society. here's the link to the pics. i hope everyone enjoys the pics. this westerea is in my opinion is best of show.

no problem. it was a nice show. they had a member do a styling demo. he went further on the juniper than i would have. he even told everyone that it would be refined more, and repotted another 3-4 times before he would call it even close to finished. i got bored near the end, and never got a finished photo. he talked so quiet. he was talking as he should in very basic terms, and info. i knew everything he was telling everyone. kinda made me feel smart

i went to take pics of the displayed trees, and 3 of the members at different times cam to ask me what i was going to do with the pics. lol i told the first lady i was going to post them on a web page. her eyes got big, and scurried to tell the others. i chuckled to myself.

it's funny. you goto a show of any kind with a DSLR, tripod, and extra lenses, and your thought to be from the news paper, or a magazine. this happens all the time. went to the Clutch Artists car show, ande had a guy fallwowing me around, and copying my angle of shots, and asking all kind of questions. made me feel good, so i kinda played it up, and acted the part. i need a hat, or or tee shirt from a car mag for the next show. lol
