Exclamation Updating

We are undergoing some major updates which as of now may inhibit some functionality of the site such as the Home Page no longer being shown and the pop-ups are still causing a problem. Please be assured that these issues are being worked on as you read this. Also be aware that the site may again be closed for periods of time when certain functions are being worked on. Other than that you can still post on the site. Thank you for your anticipated patience.

Regards, Phil

Phil, I find your Avatar too gross!.

Please, don't kill yourself. I love this site and although I don't visit regularly, know that I have you in my prayers and that you have a friend in the Internet.

As for me, having seen changes in name, site, and administrators, I say take your time and thanks for the warning. At least we are on the know. And knowledge is power.

Much appreciated Marrero. It's been a long time since we've heard from you and great to see you visiting again.

Time is about the only luxury I have and something that it will take to resolve the current issues I have with the site. However, I can assure everyone that it is indeed still being worked on and eventually it will all get sorted out. I felt it only proper to inform everyone of what is going on and especially with these cursed pop-ups and the off chance that the site may possibly be closed for short periods of time to resolve the issues at hand. We’ll get there……………..

Exclamation

I would just like to inform everyone that the issue with the pop-ups is very close to being resolved. I have a "mirror" site of this one albeit it is the default vBulletin style which of course looks nothing at all like this one. I had/have to start from square one as to redesigning it like this one and the pop-ups will then no longer be an issue. It seems that over time this site has acquired some malicious code that cannot be tracked down albeit every effort has been made to do so to no avail.

Updates have been made to the site and one more must be done to the PhotoPost (Gallery) program. Hopefully within the next week if I can finish the mirror site I can then switch that one over to this one and we can start anew. Be assured that nothing will be lost in the transition at all. With any luck at all and a lot of work I might be able to offer the membership the possibilty of having the option of being able to view two different styles of sites albeit that is not my priority at this juncture. One step at a time.

~Phil~

P.S. As you may have noticed the Homepage is now back up.

Exclamation Pop-ups are gone!

I just thought I would notify everyone that the pop-up issue is now...... GONE!

I didn’t realize until I was working on the site and doing numerous tests just how prevalent this pop-up issue was and my sincerest apologies for the terrible inconvenience. I switched over to a “mirror” site that I was working on to eliminate this problem much sooner than I wished to so please keep in mind that I’m still doing some work on it. As you may have noticed the “Gallery” pictures no longer show at the top of the forum page but I’ll get that resolved as soon as possible. Please be assured that the “Gallery” section is still in working order although it will be updated very soon. I thought it best to wait until the update is done before I worry about restoring the “Gallery” pictures at the top of the forum page. You may have also noticed that the advertisements are also gone but I'll have to make a an evaluation on that aspect as time goes on. If you should notice any issues whatsoever with the sites functionality please post them on the “Forum Feedback/Improvements” and I’ll try to resolve them as soon as possible. Thanks again for all of your patience with this most (PAST) irritating issue for the past several months. More options and improvements will be forthcoming as to the growth of the BonsaiCHAT.net Community and I’ll be notifying everyone as they come.

Kind Regards, Phil

Jim, Matt,

I fully appreciate your very kind accolades but I’m only trying to do my job and keep this site running without any issues or problems which of course are bound to happen occasionally and in all likelihood will happen again. Such is life in running a forum site and I imagine it just comes with the territory.

As everyone may have noticed the “Gallery” film strip is now back in action at the top of the forum page.
With that said I would like to ask a favor of the members. If anyone should at anytime notice any pop-ups occurring on this site please notify me or any of the moderators immediately. Of course if you should by chance have a pop-up issue other than on this site that is another matter. I’m only interested in those that notice the occurrence of pop-ups on this site only. I believe I finally tracked down the malicious code that is responsible for this issue but I and the moderators depend upon you, the membership, to notify us of any problems that you may encounter. Again my apologies for this terrible inconvenience that has occurred these past few months.

Regards, Phil

Thank the lord, oh yeah and Phil, for the demise of those annoying pop-ups. They were getting so bad I didn't even want to click on anything. Thanks again Phil, you rock!
