Exclamation Update

As said before in my announcement, that things here are far from being finished and much has yet to be done. I'm trying to take care of things in order as to there overall importance in keeping the site functioning well first, and then the many other programs, modules and various other features that have yet to be implemented. Obviously if I had not opened up the site as unexpectedly as I did it would have been the other way around!

My priorities as for now is to implement the "Bonsai of the Month" module on the Homepage. That would be a technical issue and one that has so far proven to be somewhat difficult but in time it will most assuredly be done.
Second would be somewhat of an artistic nature in so much as the look of the site as to it's logo. Yes, I realize that it is cold and somewhat antiseptic in it's look and was by no means ever considered as to being the one I wished to be here. It was quickly shoved in to get rid of the default vBulletin logo and is by no stretch of the imagination the one that will stay here.

My adeptness with any Photo Shop program and it's like is nonexistent so it's going a tad slowly but I do indeed have several ideas and they are emerging piece by piece. I have the basic concept of it and if anyone here is proficient with such programs by all means contact me. Jim (JLDoggett) is quite adept at such things but I know he is going to be a bit busy with some upcoming personal matters and he has enough on his hands as for this site as is. I have some pictures on hand as to what I want but alas I can only go so far and then I hit the proverbial brick wall!

As of date I have had no contact from a member from the past site (BC.O) who was supposedly keeping what is called a "mirror image" of said site. Hopefully he'll contact me and perhaps (emphasis on perhaps) some information from the past site will be able to be transferred here. I would most assuredly hate to loose all the input that was given there and hopefully we can manage to at least transfer a good portion of it here.

As I mentioned in my announcement that at times I will have to close the site down for short periods of time. I will try me best to keep such shut downs as brief as possible and I apologize ahead of time for the inconvenience. Please be assured that when these occurrences happen that they will be short lived and that nothing is wrong with the site.I will also post on the opening page when one tries to access the site as to what is happening when it is closed down. If one happens to be on the site when I do so you might very well be unable to access or post on any forums and will see a message at the top of the screen that simply says: "The Forums are Currently Shut Down" or something to that effect. Don't be alarmed! You may however have to log off so as to get rid of your cookies and log back on before you can post again.

Thanks to all for your anticipated time and patience with all of these matters. I would venture to say that within two months the site should be up and running to my full expectations. I can only hope at this time that it will also meet with yours.

Kind Regards, Phil

Maybe somebody out there would come up with an idea, it would save on PMs to you as you are busy at the moment.
Also, it would give people the incentive to get involved in the site, of course the final decision would be up to you, or you could put it to a vote. Cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion Prowler but this type of thing would be easier handled via email. Actually what I'm thinking about is a full sized picture with a certain font and size in the upper left side. Of course about 80% of the picture would not be seen but would act as somewhat of a background to the entire Home/Forums pages.
