Avatars

I'll soon try to change the settings as for avatars. As of now I believe they are set for small images. This server should be well able to handle the larger ones if anyone so wishes and I have the style of the posting window set up in what is called the Vertical Legacy mode so as to enable such a feature.
As you have probably noticed by now all of the users information is on the left under ones user name. Makes things neater and not so spread out.

Just trying to keep everyone updated as to little things here and there.
I've increased the allowed image size for avatars a tad higher. If anyone wishes to use an animated avatar I suppose it should work out well. If not please let me know. If however it in any way slows things down I'll have to disallow it but as of now I don't believe it should cause any problems.

You may have noticed that I acquired a few extra smilies for those that like to use them. As for the Gallery section I still have to take some time with the multitude of settings that are in the program. I did however make a change to it that was not available on BC.O. I remember getting a few PM's there asking me if I could possibly delete some pictures that one may have uploaded and no longer wished to have. I could never understand why one could not do so. It's your Gallery and if you want to delete a picture that you have and no longer wish it to be there you can now delete it yourself. If anyone has a problem doing so please let me know.

I will soon place in the "Bonsai of the Month" forum as a sub-forum of "Show and Tell". There will however be one drawback for now. The way it is supposed to work is to have the Bonsai of the Month tree on the Homepage as it should be. The module for this is quite complicated and involves extensive coding and I'm still looking into it. Another module which is basically the same is for the "Recent Articles and Reviews" Not much luck as of yet but I'll get it there eventually.

If anyone is having problems with posting, avatars, signatures, profiles etc. please let me know by posting them here on this forum. I'll try my hardest to solve each one as to its relative importance amongst the multitude of other things I must yet do. Thanks for your much anticipated patience and for that matter.....just plain 'ol being here! You people are the greatest!

Not sure if I understand you correctly but you do not do an animated avatar but simply find one. I would venture to say there are hundreds available on the Internet.

Sorry for my lack of clarity, but what I meant to say was, does this forum support animated avatars? So if I find one I like, can I use it here? or are they just considered to be normal images so it does not matter anyway?

I have it set up for animated avatars allowed. If however you have any trouble installing one please let me know.
