Hi Ravenna,
I am understanding, my "collection" used to be almost as large as yours; and it will be again, hopefully "sooner" rather than "later". Just a bit of teasing among friends, that's all? ![]() Too lazy to take pics?? With technology making it so very simple..... Keep us updated when you can..

Cheryl, she is not really lazy, she just won't admit she has no free time to take a picture. Between watering the ones on the balcony, then biking to her Dad's to take care of the trees there (and say a quick Hi to her dad), then to work and classes, I am amazed she has time to eat and will soon be found wasted away with a full watercan in one hand and a pair of pruners in the other.

JL,
Oh, to have that stamina again. I'll have to really work hard at that! I do agree with you. I hope she doesn't sleepwalk. Those pruners would take care of her problem ... real quick!

I have to admit I hadn't heard of Mr. Jeker, but apparently he knows what he's doing.
Three weeks in Europe, to visit Jeker, Walter Pall, Harry Tomlinson, the collection of the King of Spain, etc, etc -- now that would be one heckuva vacation!

Tsk, tsk, tsk... what do I see here... seems like when the cat is out of the house the mice dance on the tables.
Actually I have been rather lazy as far as courses are concerned... it felt as if I needed a bit of a break from having something to do most evenings after work. I am having my summer pause with pottery classes and with my hieroglyphs course but I have been to my dad's place yesterday and cycled back home today. I fear right now the risk of my starving with my pruners in my hand is rather slim - on the contrary: I have to make sure that I loose a few kilos so I have actually been fasting this last week... got to make sure that the catamaran won't be sinking if I go sailing again this summer... ![]() Still that doesn't mean that I have more things which I would like to do than time... Hi Treebeard,
Francois Jeker is well known here in Europe. His classes are very good. Some bonsaiists are good but can't explain things well. He has thought a lot about the design of trees and is good at transmitting that. Recently he has written a book on working dead wood which I like very much but I am not sure whether it has been translated into English yet. There are two other books of him on the design of bonsai which they used to have on offer at stone lantern and which I found very interesting as I felt that his approach was rather different from other bonsai books. (And if you get to meet him: ask him to "sign" the book for you and chances are that he will draw you a pic (nearly P.S.: Hey notice something Cheryl? I took a pic for you guys...
