About 24 cm (9.448818897637794 inches), maybe a bit less now that I've trimmed the top.

One of my oldest bonsai, about 15 years old, from a cutting. His brother, after being in a large pot for most of his life is now in may garden since last spring and is about 1.70m high (5 feet 6.929133858267704 inches).

It's one of my favourite, if not the blue-eyed boy in the class...

It was voted "bonsai of the month" on the former BonsaiChat site

PS : I used Centimeters To Feet And Inches Calculator for the conversion into the medieval system still in use in countries that are former colonies of Her Majesty
I much prefer David Crosby's version of "My country 'tis of thee" than the original one.
B****y froggies, always ready to trim back a head!

Wow - that tree looks awesome! It even has a quiet dignity without its leaves.

Yet another spectacular tree Alain! Although I do think this is one of those trees that are allowed a tiny little ceramic Japanese man sitting beneath it.

And don't forget those of us who are still, and always will be, colonies of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

Exactly! I did put a tiny figure of a man sitting in the shade, under the lowest branch, but my cat made them fall and it is broken now. The photo attached was taken in October last year.

Perfect! I'm afraid to say, but you're going to have to pay out for a replacement one, I know we're all facing an recession, but its a compulsory buy!

Salut Alain,

very nice tree and spectacular autumn colours... one of the reasons I love those trees. What variety of acer palmatum is it?

Et joyeux Noel... (sorry couldn't find those two dots for the "e" on my keyboard... I guess b....y krauts like me just can't spell the one and only "proper language" in the world right The Académie Francaise (yes I know cedille is missing but the accent aigu is there) would faint "en bloc" )
