... Dream on young man... But I am glad you like the tree. I am quite curious what the tree will look like and with all the new maples I got this year (mostly very young trees which I bought because I found the varieties interesting and which are out in the garden) I can't wait for spring.

In the meantime... I am busy reading the new book by Francois Jeker on working dead wood which arrived last Friday hot from the press. Right now it is only available in French but I have been told that it is going to be translated into English and German next year.

For some reason a woman's laughter can be cutting and cruel. Shaggy, come lets get a beer and commiserate.

What???? Are you guys ganging up on me? And me being such a sweet woman... If you want to be fair you have to admit though that it is highly unlikely that someone is going to sell a tree he or she just bought for him- or herself. After all if I didn't like it or want it I wouldn't have bought it in the first place now would I?

Jerry and Jim, you need a third? In a case like this something robust is called for, like a Guiness. (Why didn't their toucan ever think of that angle?)
