Japanese acer

I did post a pic. of one i purchased in a 4 pack, a very nice deep red colour.
When winter started last year they simply went " Poof " curled up and died in a couple of days.
Today i was having a look about and would you believe it, they have started to sprout.
All i did was dump them in the North side of my house, no wind but bad for frost. I think i may have lost one, but 3 out of 4 aint to bad.
As soon as they are more photogenic i will post them, but the year is still young yet. Cheers.

Wait a second, you can see the ground over there????? I still have a foot of snow here and I swear a few new glaciers are forming!

I can actually see the ground over there by Lake Michigan, at least anywhere the sun has shown. We keep popping above freezing for a day or two, before dropping back down again. It was 55F on Friday, and I did some work in the yard. Even went early collectingn today with one of my clubs, and came back with too many trees. They're potted and in winter storage now since it'll be back to freezing this week.

Prolwer - good to hear that your acers came back, especially if you thought that they had died. Its still too early here to know if the 'might have died'-s have made it through winter storage yet. Another month for me, maybe JL will be able to see the ground by then.

Thumbs up

Dogleg, we had only one snowstorm this year, just a small dump of 4inch one night., it was gone next day.
None of this gales etc. that England had, we still get frost and wind but nothing to speak about this year.
May have to ask Pearly for his shorts and shirt.
Now, where the hell did i put those sunglasses of mine?
