Talking Xmas bloopers?

Well, guys and girls, how did your Xmas go?
This year we had no power cuts, i did not drop the Turkey on the floor like i did 2 yrs ago.
Just one strange event, i was waiting for a new monitor to be delivered, the doorbell rang and this guy said i have a delivery for you, i said i hope its a big box from Santa, he opened the back doors and it was empty.
I asked him what the hell was the delivering, he said it was my new van.
I cannot repeat the conversation that followed, i would be banned.
Anyway, after he phoned about, he asked me if he could leave it in my yard, soooo, i have a mobile home, two cars + this white van in my yard, the locals have been asking me if i had won the Lottery. My lips are sealed.

Hmmm, could be a nice place to overwinter your trees, cold, but windless and easy to get in and water if needed.

I had a pair of 28" X 36" pots on my list, I even supplied the URL for them... I recieved 2-3" X 5" pots since the gifter assumed I had typoed the size... I ordered the right ones for myself the other day.

Does this include bloopers with inlaws which make the spouse decide never to go back to her own parents' at the holidays?

Yes it does, you have fired up our imagination so let rip.
I always take my mother out to stay with us for a week at Xmas time.
I have to watch my Ps and Qs when she is here.
She insists on cleaning up the kitchen, it drives my wife crackers, we can never find anything for a couple of days after.

My mother was in town mid-Dec. The main blooper on her visit was her arrival at an airport 5 hours away from where I lived. She told me that she didn't want to deal with any of the nonsense of flying, so she was going to take the bus. The bus would have left her town at 2am and gotten to my town at 10 or 11pm. I know my mother, and I know that she absolutely would not have lasted 6 hours on a bus, let alone almost 20. Since she was set against flying, I thought I'd offer to meet the bus partway and drive her the rest of the way. So I offered up Cincinnati or Louisville as options. So, she calls me back with the announcement that she's found a really great flight to Cincinnati. So, during the 5 hour drive back to my house from the airport, we discussed where she would be flying into in the future, since I was not driving 5 hours again to pick her up at an airport. She was so please that she had taken my advice on a city, and I said that advice was only because she was determined to take the bus. I would have given her much closer cities to fly into if she had said she'd be willing to fly!

Yep, old people don't seem to realize the uproar they can start as far as modern day driving conditions.
I often take my mother out for a run in my car in summer, i ask her where she wants to go, i often throw a wobbler and tell her i am not in command of the * Star ship Enterprise * I ain't got warp speed in my car
Anyway, how did you get on with yer mum over Xmas? were you skating on thin ice? Cheers.

Centaura--Does your mom live in Minnesota? I was in Minneapolis the weekend before Xmas. Drove home on Sunday through the blizzard. Loved every minute of it.

As for myself, I spilled coffee on the Daughter's new white carpet. I'm the only one in the entire family who drinks coffee, so I got absolutely no support or sympathy. All those products guaranteed to lift out coffee stains?--BS.

After trying several times, I don't think I can post it. It's too personal, mostly.

Suffice to say that my mother in law worked very hard on her piano pieces for church, and we DO NOT attend church. This was taken as a personal insult by father in law. We left very early the next day....
