Australia's disaster

I am sure most of you by now would have heard about the disaster that has befallen us here in Australia. The state of Victoria is under threat from bush fires the worst in memory. At the time of the 5 PM news in Western Australia, there were 173 confirmed dead. This toll is expected to rise to over 200 and more. they were in most cases lit some some low life scum..
I would ask that you all offer prayers to your God for those in need.
At the moment New South Wales fires are under control but we must not get complacent. For these low life's wait for that to happen so be on your guard. A very angry Pup

Hi Pup,

You are all in my prayers, Fire is Earths most destructive force, and I really hurt for anyone caught up in it, whether they have lost their lives, loved ones or their whole livelihoods.

Let's hope the little F***ers get caught and whipped until they feel no more pain, then have salt rubbed into the wounds, and left for the crows! They are Scummy murderers, I've even heard reports of them re-lighting extinguished fires! Whoever thinks that is a good idea needs locking up forever!

For anyone who had lost personal belongings, I am sure that us Brits will be able to give an aid package of as much as possible for our fellow blood, I know it can't bring loved ones back and replace the irreplaceable, but it will help close the wounds.

Good luck, stay safe, Please remember, any material belongings can be replaced, your life can't! Just forget everything! and get away from it!

-Matt-

This is a tragic scenario that the idiots who started the fire has put everyone in, and if caught there is only one just punishment before a jail sentence, and that is the Cat, or the Birch, give them a good flogging in public, one they will never forget.
Then send them down for the rest of their natural lives, but its a pity that capital Punishment is not passed by the law courts, save the tax payer some money.

Our thoughts, and prayers go out to the victims family.

Best regards BD Paul

Thank you Matt and Paul we do appreciate your thoughts. Our family are far from any danger.
We do have friends who are over there and we have not heard from them in quite awhile now. As they say no news is good news.
All we can do is pray for there safe return.
Yes Paul and I would gladly be the one to administer it. Pup

We had similar problems a few years ago, not on the same scale thank goodness.
Someone had set the gorse on a hillside about six miles from us, and all the houses in the vicinity had to be evacuated with the high winds fanning the flames.
Thankfully the fire service was able to get things under control before any major damage was done.
If i remember correctly, fire services from six or seven districts had to attend to keep it under control.
It must be a very frightening situation to be in, as they would no have no idea which directions the flames will come from next.

Best regards BD Paul

Yes, you'll definitely be in my prayers.
I saw a heart rendering video today of a fire fighter feeding a Koala bear from a water bottle that was clenching to a tree that had been slightly burned. As you know they are very shy and not prone to go near humans. This particular bear held onto the fire fighters hand while drinking from a water bottle!

I realize this has nothing to do with the loss of human life but it does indeed give some perspective as to the desperation and panic that can ensue from fire. God Bless.............

Phil I know where your coming from and we thank you.
To those that are wanting to know how SAM the koala is she is doing fine. She is in with some wildlife carers her feet have been treated. So from all the grief we have around us a good news story Pup

re bush fires

Hi pup, my thoughts are with you and your country at this time.
This is a terrible thing to happen, especially since it was an act of vandalism. How any one could start fires to this proportion is beyond me.
Little fu#"ers should be fed to the crocodiles when they get caught and what the crocs dont eat should be fed to the sharks!
Once the fires stop mother nature will reclaim her land and all will be well again with new growth and an influx of new wildlife to the area, once again my thoughts are with you all in Australia, cheers phil.

Pup, I am glad to hear you are Ok, I am hoping all our Australian members and their families are safe. I suppose we should pray for the eople who set them. Pray that the fires trap them, consumming them slowly and that they die a hellish death before they are caught. Were they to be caught by locals the death might be much less merciful, though justly deserved.

Sorry, I saw the same film that Phil saw and my blood is boiling a bit.
