Hi Mary, sorry to hear both about your car accident and your rheumatoid arthritis. I can imagine that you don't want to ride green broke horses under those conditions. I am impressed that you were going to break them in yourself though (at least it sounds that way). That is something I would rather leave to someone else.

Yes, I guess when you don't remember what tree it is when it doesn't have it's leaves anymore is as good a point as any to start cutting down on your trees. To my shame I have to admit that something similar happened to me with my kusamono last summer. I gave my plants into care to two different people and when I got them back it took me weeks to notice that one of my kusamono was missing! And that although it is in a really nice pot by Dan Barton.

I fear though that this hasn't taught me anything (yet). I have been rather busy making pots for kusamono lately. Just glazed them before the end of last year and I am curious to see how they turned out. I have also ordered some seeds for some plants which I think might be interesting as accent plants.

what are your plans for next year

To enjoy life more, as its not a dress rehearsal.
To get out more often, and visit places i have never been before.
To tell my family more often how much i love them.
To laugh more often, even at the stupid things.
To get healthier by loosing weight, and relieving some pressure on my joints.
To learn more about Bonsai, and pass that knowledge onto others.
To stick to what i am saying.

Best regards BD Paul
