I Blame Society

Quite frankly, I find the state of society today, hilarious!

At the front of the house, we have to lock the gate closed with a bike lock, ever since the arson attack, normally, when I unlock the bike lock to let the postman and other foot traffic in and out during the day, I lock it over one of the open gates, today how ever, I forgot to lock it properly, and guess whats happened.... It's been stolen!

Now why on earth some one would want a bike lock which they don't have the keys for, I don't know, I just find it funny, although a little inconvenient.

Has any one else experienced the downturn of society? Such as a theft / vandalism? Or is it just Winsford Town?

missing

Many years ago as a young soldier. I was under the bonnet ( hood ) of the staff car I was in charge of.
The officer of the day asked what was wrong I replied the engine is missing (as in misfireing ).
With that the 90 day wonder cancelled all leave ( furlogh ) until it was found.

Fun and Games

I find that most people in society are ok its just a small percentage ruin it for the rest.

I bought a new car trailer last year, I took it home and put it on my back lawn, fortunatly I chained the wheels, that night someone tried cutting the chain.
So game on, for the next night I was ready I set up motion security lights
I also hooked the trailer up to a 5000 volt electric fence unit.
I left a clear escape path past my garage except for the fishing line I put at what I thought would be about chest height.

In the early hours of the next morning the lights went on and woke me up to hear the good part there was a loud scream of pain (he must have touched the trailer when the lights went on) shortly after that there was a loud thud it sounded like someone landing very heavy followed by a lot of swearing.
Imagine what would be going through his tiny mind (what's next)
I haven't had a problem since.

OMG! That is such a brilliant Idea Shrimpy! Even though I would go to prison over here, it would teach them a lesson!

Mmmmm *Ponders*, Maybe I could attach an electric fence unit to the bike lock? Or the car door handles!

I have set a trap however, new bike lock (£3.99 Wilkinsons) and I've got the CCTV camera recording! Let's see who the little bugger is!

Thumbs up

Well where i come from we had what we call the vandals.
One night i crossed swords with 6 of them, i grabed one of them by the throat and whacked him into a wall, this was when i found out he was a girl !!!
Thats when i new i was in deep poo poo, the boys in blue arrived they gave me a telling off, but before they left i was told the next time i did this make sure there are no witneses. hmm.
Matt is correct, we are not aloud to protect ourself in the UK, thats what we have to live with.

The law is the same here in NZ but I am a D.I.Y. enthusiast.

Even if the boy's in blue had caught this toe rag he would have only got a slap on the wrist with a wet bus ticket at least my way he has memories of his night out at my place.

I'm sorry Matt but you may get the little bugger on CCTV but then what?

In today's society the offenders have more rights than the victim's no matter what the size of the crime that's wrong.

Volts

Matt connect it up to a battery chager it wont hurt them but it will give them food for thought. We here in OZ have what we call a hot wire.
It is ment for keeping stock in, so it does not wander on to public access ways.I rigged it up it works wonders because it is wrapped in paper.
So when the S#*t heads complain to the Police it is already wrapped up. Pup

I would be able to store it, until something bigger happens, for the British justice system to work, you have to start collecting evidence 2 years before the crime is committed

My police service is 10 mile away from me providing they aint out on a call.
When they do arrive they state they have to catch them during the act !!
No wonder we land in trouble by protecting ourself.
I asked them what would happen if i took a baseball bat to them? they ased me where i kept it, i told them beside my bed, they said i cant do that.
This is a sign i intended to do bodily harm, Hmm, go figure that out?

High stone walls are so nice, though the upkeep can be a pain. Do not forget the coils of razor ribbon on top... and thick steel gates!
