Only two entries (better than last month!) but a difficult choice.

The rules are simple. Submit a clear picture of a tree you own. One entry per month. The tree must be yours; the photograph should be yours or one you have the consent of the photographer to use. The photo can be older or a current one as long as you own the tree. Trees that do not win may be submitted again. Submissions should be sent, as an attachment, to: jimbonsai@yahoo.com after the first of the month and before midnight (eastern standard time) on the 14th. I will create the thread in this forum with the trees numbered in the order they arrive. The submission thread will be started on the first day of the month and run for 14 (fourteen) days, the voting poll will then be created and run for the next 14 (fourteen) days. From time to time a theme may be given for a month to add variety. Please name the picture with the tree's cultivar and your screen-name. i.e: Chinese twiginapot-JLDoggett.jpg I will not be responsible for changing the size of any submitted picture, so please make sure they fit the forum's size limits and are in .jpg format. I will not be responsible for submissions that go to Mars and back, arrive late, or never arrive. Discussions of submissions can be taken up outside of the submission thread but within the Bonsai of the Month forum after the voting has concluded. I will start the threads for submissions, polls and discussion at the proper times. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Congrats Mary Beth, your second win. Please write a short info blurb for Phil to post with your tree on the home page.

This neagari (exposed root) Korean Privet was my first "show" tree. About 3 1/2 years ago the club I belong to was having a bonsai show and wanted all members to participate. Since I had just joined, I had nothing to show so I headed up to Lotus Bonsai Nursery and came home with this little tree.
