Hearty congratulations once more Mr. Oakley you are formidable as usual. We all need to adopt that light blue background if only we can find the trees to place in front. Slainch for 2009.

This tree was collected from my neighbors front garden when they were remodeling. There were three I dug them all kept this one, gave the others away. I believe they are dead!!. I have been training this for about 5 years now. It is 300mms high 350mms wide trunk base is 50mms. Which I consider the perfect size tree. It produces a large amount of very small white flowers in summer about two three weeks time!. One I am very fond of. Thank you all again. Pup

I knew it!

Actually, I voted for it

Congratulations Pup, it's a winner, and I understand it's a favourite of yours. Please, do post pictures when it's in full bloom.

I also knew a few bonsai crackpots would vote for my wee giant sequoia because of the challenge it represents, but I was sure someone would show a much nicer tree: I try to "compete" because when I was in my early teens, I discovered pinball machines (you know, these things with lots of sounds and lights one would play when skipping classes). There were "Gottlieb" pinball machines, and their slogan was "It's more fun to compete"

Kidding aside, I'm sure there is one bonsai, or tree in a pot, whatever you call it, that you really like, so don't feel shy: the more the merrier!

Well, of course, you won't win, but who cares: we all know that Pup funds this site and bribes its administrators just to satisfy his paranoia

Hey! That was "tongue-in-cheek", I've had enough trouble on French forums for my, er... very special kind of humour

I hope your sence of humor is there when I want a glass of arse and Mrs Pup and I demand a bed.
Please let us have some more tree's because I am running out. After giving them away.

I...er....we.....errr....Accept no.... errr.... Bribes of any ....er.....kind in relation to this ....erm....contest.

And no, no you did not Pup, I'm sorry, but the other offers....erm i mean trees, were much more substantial (££££££££'s)

I nearly voted for Your tree Alain, because of the fact its one of my fav species, but I had to put my professional head on and vote for the nicest looker (plus with the one win per tree rule pup will run out of trees soon )

All the best.
