A full picture of the maple group would be helpful.

The partial picture of the maple is what was sent to JL, whether it be intentional, or not, JL didn't have the time, or need to examine every entry and chase up any mistakes. Which is why it is asked that all entrants examine their photographs, and adjust as neccessary before submitting them.

The entrant of the Maple is entitled to enter the tree again next month with the full correct photo, should they not win this month.

You have to keep in mind that each view is not necessarily a first time view.
Many of the members will click on this thread to see how the voting is going including me. A good example is your post. I'm sure you already voted but your post counted as another "view".

I do not enlarge all the pictures when I get them to check them for what the image is of (I think I would notice dancing girls or such). Sorry.

Even if the picture was small or even too large it would still be the same image as was submitted. No fault of yours Jim and so be it! I guess the old saying; "A picture speaks a thousand words" does not quite fit the bill in this instance. We seem to be missing quite a few words with this picture!
Anyway....keep the votes coming in folks.

Yeah, not your fault for sure. It just looks like it could be a nice little forest.
