This tree is an airlayed privet from a planting of hedge after WW11, 1947.
I have just realised it is photographed from the back. I am also disappointed there were no other trees in Bonsai of the month, for August. I remember reading a post as to a competition for spring from stock. ![]() Cheers Pup
