alot of overreaction here. these are seedlings not masterpieces. we are going to do far worse than bend them soon enough. most will be bent and wired for movement and character. many will probably be trunk chopped below this anyways. i agree a broken trunk is not acceptable. if buying an older tree this is not acceptable either. if these are issues for you but in person or be the picky customer no one likes and specify that your trees need to be not bent, bubble wrapped, shrink wrapped, put in a poster tube in over sized boxes with styrofoam peanuts..........
