Fukien Tea Leaf Dry,Yellow And Dropping
Hi,
My Fukientea bonsai place indoor and they put outdoor in every morning for 4hrs with water mist on its leaf.Recent found that leaf are yellow, dropping and green ones look lifeless (drying down appearance) Is it due to under morning sun too long(4hrs) or water misting on its leaf or aging? Please help. |

Hey Tonytian.
From what I can make out, you're saying that The tree lives inside and is moved outside every morning into the sun for 4 hours after being misted? If I got that right, that is most likely the problem. Misting the leaves and then placing the tree in the sun can cause quite severe leaf scorch, which eventually can weaken and kill the tree. This would be why the leaves look dry. Another thing that will cause problems is moving the tree inside and outside, it is probably too much daily climatic change for the tree. What is the weather like for you in Singapore? If it doesn't get too cold it would be a better idea to move it outside and leave it outside permanently. Or if it is too cold keep it inside permanently, moving it out during the summer. Hope this helps -Matt-

Actually, I did changed it to bigger pot and soil. This way will not stress the roots. Also, I placed it outside at evening at 1100pm till morning 8am.The Fukien Tea relive with young leaves growing out. I water it at the evening. I am staying Singapore which a tropical climate. Our nite is cool and day is hot. Morning sun is moderate. Tony |
