I have a Brazilian Rain tree that started to have its leaves turn yellow about three weeks ago. I finally re-potted it a week ago since the yellow was getting quit extensive which seemed to have been stemming from over watering since I was unaware of the old soils high organic content. I found the other day now since I repotted it all the remaining leaves have dried up and fallen off. I have been busy and must not have judged the drying time of the new soil properly, finding it this way yesterday.
![]() ![]() I am now left with a bare tree and am afraid of losing it. This would be a shame since it was a beautiful and old well developed tree. I currently have it sitting by a window on the North side of the house (that receives no direct sun though it) and have it sitting in a dish with water about twice the size of the pot (with no water touching the bottom of the pot of course). I wanted to drape it with a bag or something transparent to keep more of the humidity in around the tree but am unsure if I can due to the trees size and spread. Any helpful insight or advice would GREATLY appreciated. -Mike Last edited by Mike423; 11-04-2010 at 11:08 AM.. Reason: Images not responding |

I’m not at all knowledgeable on Brazilian rain trees but here are a few links that might be of some help.
