Pine Needle Cast
To All:
I am a member of the Midwest Bonsai Society in Chicago. Currently I have 8 pines...all Scots or Mugos. For 3 years all have been in fine health, but now all have needle cast to some degree. It has been very wet here all spring. All have received weekly Daconil [Clorothalonil] treatment for the past 2 weeks. Would appreciate any other care recommendations e.g. copper fungicides [as certain needle casts are responsive to this]. I was instructed to remove and destroy affected needles. Thank you. Best regards, D/D |
