Japanese Black Pine 'Kotobuki'

Hey Guys,

While I am not new to Bonsai nor to this site (just been on a hiatus due to all of my bonsai dying causing me great frustration and sadness) I now have a bonsai that I need some ideas for.

I got a JBP 'Kotobuki" from a friend for Christmas, its been overwatered and needs some TLC, I was wondering what everyone thought I could do with it. It looks young but I think it has some potential, I just need some ideas and tips.

Please take a look and let me know what you think!

Thank you so much, and I hope to be active here again.

-Jason

I was also looking for some possible pot suggestions and retailers as well.

Kotobuki is a dwarf variety that acts a lot like yatsubusa ("eight buds") in that it tends to throw out a lot more buds with short internodes as it grows. Yours is VERY young and needs a lot of growth before you think about pots. What would you like to achieve with this tree? How big? How thick of a trunk?

I had been thinking of maybe doing an informal upright, I hadn't thought much yet about overall height though.
