Hi there
Last message I've got Dara sayd the tree lost his leaves but looks like buds are showing to come out. Unfortunatly Dara coudn't find neem oil in local shops so he had to go for a vegetable oil.
Fingers crossed.

Vegetable oil may smother the scale, but neem oil also poisons the juveniles, whose carapaces aren't yet impervious.

Something else that will work is known here in the US as "horticultural spray oil." It's available in garden shops here, and hopefully in Romania too. It's a fine oil that smothers the pests without clogging the plant's stomata.

Thanx treebeard55
Last time I've heard from Dara, the tree wasn't doing incredibly well but hopefully he'll come back with some good news.
Thanx again

Looking like a happy tree! Glad if we were able to help.

Tell Dara he needs to keep a close eye on it. Scale have a way of trying to return, and can be hard to detect at first.

Thumbs up Great!

That is very good news; I'm glad he stayed with it. Tell him to leave it out and let it thrive this summer. I hope he's fertilizing it as well.

Good Luck to him...
