Hinoki help

Hi all,
I could use some help with this Hinoki. Aside from being new to Bonsai (and a little too aggressive with my initial cleaning of this little tree) my 4 year old son decided to "help" while I was at work!

It has survive that trauma...but my initial plans have flown out the window. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
Thanks so much for your reply!

Initially was thinking of a semi cascade...but lost alot of fullness up top. I'm now having difficulty getting that image out of my head. What would you think of a semi cascade...leaning...? I would prefer not to do any more damage, so really want to come up with a solid plan for it. I know there is still a Bonsai trying to come out...I'm just not experienced enough to see it.

Welcome to the forum, Tyler!

I think you still have a semi-cascade in there, if that's the way you want to go. But you've also got a good base and nebari as it is (at least, judging from your first pic,) and it might be better to try to highlight those features.

Give me a day or two to try to come up with more specific suggestions.
