Shimpaku Juniper styling help

Hello, fairly new to bonsai, and just got a new shimpaku juniper tree. Hoping for some advice on styling. I've done some pruning already, but it still doesn't really look like a proper bonsai-in-training. It's about 5" or so tall right now.

Mock-ups would be especially helpful, or links to other trees for inspiration. Although the tree is pictured on a windowsill, he will be an outdoor tree, brought inside only occasionally for show.

(P.S. please don't give me a hard time about the clay guy, he's not a permanent fixture, he just belonged to my grandfather so he has sentimental value.)

Thanks Phil, I'm fairly happy with it but there is some more pruning to do. Not bad out of a $10 shrub from the nursery. Considering how skinny the trunk I was concerned the canopy might be too large or otherwise out of proportion.

you might want to move it outdoors for the rest of the summer and into winter. It will need a nice cool place to spend the winter, but for now it needs ti regin it's strength and grow new roots.

Nice job! From there I'd start pruning all downward pointing scales. It should start looking more like a "bonsai in training" after that.
