Beginner need info!!
Hey everyone I'm brand new to this. I wanna give it a good honest try, these trees are absolutely beautiful. Before I get started it seems as if I need to do some research into what it is to Bonsai. It would be great if you could offer some good books or articles for me to read that can get me started. Thanks so much in advance!

Welcome to the art, and to the forum!
Mike gave you a good pointer: your local library. Look for books by Harry Tomlinson, Jerry Meislik, Colin Lewis, Paul Lesniewicz; Tomlinson's may the best for a first-time-getting-your-feet-wet. There may also be videos available at the library. Find and join a local club. We on the forum will be glad to help, but there's nothing like being able to ask questions of someone who can look at the tree in question from all sides, up close and personal. Local bonsaiists also are familiar with your growing conditions. I (ahem) have to admit that I'm not sure if BonsaiChat has a "FAQ's about bonsai" section. Worth looking for.
