I’ll certainly agree with Michel as to how old a tree is not being important. It could be 200 hundred years old but if it’s not well formed it’s nothing but a 200 year old stump!
First, I did not pick out this tree because of its age, nor because I necessarily even liked it.
I simply picked out the most expensive tree that I found at this particular bonsai nursery. I also look into to their offerings every so often as I’ve purchased a few trees from them before. The nursery is Brussel’s and they do carry some nice high quality trees. However, what really cracks me up is how they advertise the Phoenix graft trees. They always give the age of the driftwood as 150 years old! Number one….how on earth would they ever know the age on a piece of driftwood! Secondly, and most importantly, who CARES!
As for the price of the tree it is $7,000.
Not sold yet. Well, maybe when its
76 years old.
