there is a awesome article by a lady who used to live in Fl who started perfecting the collecting methods of the native pines around here. I'll try to scan it and upload it. she found that collecting was best done in the dead of winter, and for the sand pines, she dipped the roots in a home-made muck after getting them out of the ground. she also learned more little quirks that improved her survival rates. I'll definitely have the info available by winter time, so for now...just find the trees you want to collect and mark em.
