Trunk chopping

I look forward to reading how you got on with the trunk chop, but take care as some of these maples are grafted.
And if you cut below the graft, you will have a totally different Maple to what you have now.
I was lucky in as much as my Maple was not from grafted stock.
When you do the chop, don't forget to leave it back bud, and do its own thing for around a year.
